             The UtterPredesh  Board was formed on 1921 in  Allahabad by an act of United Provinces Legislative Council. UP Boards first examination was held in 1923. UP Board is one of the oldest school board in India which, from the very start, had adopted XII ( +2 ) system of examination. The first public examination after 10 years education is High School Examination and after the 10+2 stage, there is Intermediate Examination. Prior to 1923, University of Allahabad was the examining body of these two examinations.

The University of Calcutta in Kolkata has signed an MOU with the University of GLASGOW.This memorandum is signed between Calcutta University and University of Glasgow with a main intention of creating cultural collaboration and better academic.

This mutual cooperation will help both the Universities in their own way.The University of Glasgow is providing financial assistance to the students of the Calcutta University.Since Glasgow University is rich in its educational heritage,this renowned association will be a natural progression.This agreement will also include combined future projects,lectures on various subjects.
